• Founded in 2014, the Student Community Liaison Program {SCLP} aims to provide youth and young adults with opportunities for career exploration in the public sector and professional networking experiences to get them connected with the mentors who can help them achieve their career goals.

    We do this by partnering with local elected officials to coordinate and host community clean-ups as they play a vital role in promoting environmental stewardship and fostering community involvement.

    SCLP community clean up events not only enhance the beauty of our neighborhoods but also raise awareness about the importance of keeping our public spaces clean for all to enjoy comfortably. SCLP volunteers gather in local parks to collect litter, remove invasive species, and make approved improvements, whenever appropriate.

    By taking part in these clean-ups, individuals can work together towards a common goal, connect with other community leaders and change-makers, strengthening community ties and instilling a sense of pride in local spaces.

    Each clean-up event presents an opportunity to show that collective efforts can lead to significant positive impacts on the environment.

    To get involved in upcoming clean-up events, community members are encouraged to reach out to us or check local listings and join neighborhood groups dedicated to environmental initiatives.

    Volunteers of all ages are welcome, and supplies such as bags and gloves are typically provided. Together, we can create a cleaner, healthier community for everyone.
